Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort during examinations, providing clear explanations and reassurance throughout the process
• Work collaboratively with radiologists and other medical personnel to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, promptly addressing any operational issues
• Thoroughly document all procedures and maintain comprehensive patient records in the electronic health system
• Stay informed on advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and clinical practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent discipline
• Preferably, completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
