Position Summary

The Flooring Station is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Flooring Sales Consultant to join our showroom team in Gold River, CA. This role is responsible for guiding customers through the flooring selection process, generating sales opportunities, preparing quotes, following up on leads, and coordinating with installation and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, is highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced retail sales environment. Previous flooring, home improvement, construction, or design-related sales experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to the showroom and provide exceptional service throughout the sales process.

• Consult with homeowners, contractors, designers, and property managers to identify flooring needs and recommend appropriate products.

• Networking and prospecting for new customers.

• Generate and follow up on leads from phone inquiries, walk-ins, referrals, and online sources.

• Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and sales orders.

• Maintain ongoing communication with customers regarding product availability, installation schedules, and project updates.

• Coordinate with installers, vendors, and internal team members to ensure successful project completion.

• Develop strong product knowledge across hardwood, carpet, laminate, tile, and luxury vinyl flooring categories.

• Utilize CRM and point-of-sale systems to track customer interactions and sales opportunities.

• Maintain showroom displays and ensure products are presented professionally.

• Achieve individual and team sales goals.

• Assist with inventory inquiries, special orders, and vendor communications as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales, customer service, retail, or account management experience preferred.

• Flooring, construction, home improvement, interior design, or building materials experience is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to build trust and rapport with customers.

• Comfortable preparing estimates and discussing project budgets.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/POS systems.

• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus.
