Clinical Pharmacist

MTK Healthcare INC. is Hiring – Inpatient / Outpatient Pharmacist Position: Inpatient / Outpatient Pharmacist Facility: Modoc Medical Center Location: Alturas, CA 96101 Shift: Varied – 5x8 or 4x10 hour shifts (including some weekends) Pay Rate: $75 – $85 per hour Job Description: Under the direction of the Pharmaceutical Services Director, the Hospital Pharmacist is responsible for inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services, including procurement, distribution, storage, and administration of medications. Ensures compliance with all State and Federal regulations. Inpatient experience within the last 3 years is required. Key Responsibilities: Oversee inpatient and outpatient pharmaceutical services at the facility Ensure safe procurement, distribution, storage, and administration of medications Review all inpatient medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness Verify and reconcile patient home medications prior to administration Maintain crash carts, specialty kits (STEMI, OB, Clinic kits, etc.) Ensure compliance with State and Federal pharmacy regulations Maintain pharmacy policy and procedure manuals per regulatory standards Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare staff Manage pharmacy inventory, Omnicell systems, and controlled substances Maintain procurement, dispensing, billing, and invoice records Identify and resolve medication discrepancies in a timely manner Support cost-saving initiatives through formulary management Serve as Pharmacist in Charge Provide weekend emergency pharmacy coverage Serve as on-call pharmacist during assigned shifts Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Active Pharmacist license (California preferred/required as applicable) Minimum inpatient pharmacy experience within the last 3 years (required) Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations Experience with medication safety, compliance, and regulatory standards Ability to work independently and manage administrative responsibilities Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills Ashu Chaudhary Assistant Manager – MTK Healthcare INC.
