Role Description The Associate Accountant is a part-time role (~20 hours per week) based in Burlington, MA with flexibility for work from home. Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, this position supports the Finance team through a combination of accounting, accounts payable, and financial operations responsibilities. The Associate Accountant is responsible for processing vendor invoices, managing accounts payable activities, reviewing and processing employee expense reports, and preparing weekly wire and ACH payments in accordance with company policies and procedures. The role also assists with month-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Additional responsibilities include supporting budget preparation and financial analysis, maintaining and documenting accounting processes and controls, preparing departmental reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. The Accounting Coordinator will also identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies within the Finance organization while helping to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and Office 365.
