Senior Accountant

Burlington, Massachusetts – Perm 90000 Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing Finance team. This position will play a key role in supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations, month‑end close, reconciliations, reporting, audit support, and cross‑functional financial processes. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Accounting & Month‑End Close Perform daily and weekly cash accounting and bank reconciliations Prepare and maintain reconciliations and support schedules for prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and general ledger accounts Record journal entries and assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities Prepare month‑end reporting packages and supporting schedules Fixed Assets & General Accounting Manage fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and tracking Support ongoing accounting operations related to general expenses and balance sheet reconciliations Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Audit, Tax & Compliance Assist with annual audits and support external auditors with requested documentation and schedules Support tax filings and compliance‑related accounting activities Maintain reporting calendars and complete required filings and submissions Cross‑Functional Support & Process Improvement Partner with teams across the organization to gather information and support account reconciliations Assist with ad‑hoc accounting projects, analysis, and reporting requests Utilize advanced Excel functionality including pivot tables, formulas, and reporting tools to improve efficiency and accuracy Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to general ledger accounting and month‑end close Public accounting experience is a plus Construction and/or software industry experience preferred but not required Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and general accounting processes Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and complex formulas Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite preferred Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a collaborative environment Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting Pay – $90 000 – $110 000 base + bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting
