About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Tooling Support Specialist to join our team and provide technical support to customers in punching and bending applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in manufacturing, tooling, mechanical applications, CAD, or technical customer support who enjoys solving problems and working directly with customers and engineering teams.

In this role, you will analyze customer requirements and technical drawings, recommend the appropriate tooling solutions, troubleshoot application issues, and work closely with Tooling Sales and Engineering teams to deliver effective solutions.

What You'll Do

• Analyze customer requirements, specifications, application conditions, and technical drawings to determine appropriate tooling solutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Use CAD software to review and evaluate customer files and drawings.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for tooling products and punching/bending applications.
• Diagnose tooling configuration, manufacturing, design, and operational issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with Tooling Sales Engineers and Design Engineers to develop customized tooling solutions.
• Provide technical and product specifications to customers, sales teams, and engineering groups.
• Assist customers with tooling selection and application-related questions.
• Process and expedite quotations, orders, and customer requests through the CRM system.
• Maintain accurate records of customer communications, technical issues, recommendations, and solutions.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional and effective communication.
• Participate in training programs to continuously improve knowledge of tooling products, applications, sales, and technical skills.
• Work proactively with internal teams to identify the best resources and solutions for customer needs.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma plus vocational/technical training required; college degree preferred.
• Experience in tooling, manufacturing, mechanical applications, sheet metal, CNC, fabrication, or technical support is highly desirable.
• Ability to confidently read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro/E, Creo, or similar CAD software preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers and sales teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers.
• Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. daily.
• Very little travel required.
