Purchasing Agent

Job Summary The Purchasing Agent is responsible for assisting in the purchasing process, creating and managing purchase orders (POs), and handling all related tasks to ensure the hotel is supplied with the necessary goods and services. The Purchasing Agent plays a key role in obtaining competitive bids, negotiating prices, and ensuring the hotel receives the best products at the most cost-effective rates, thereby contributing to the overall profitability of the hotel. Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent; experience in hotel purchasing or a related field preferred. Progressive experience in a hotel environment or relevant courses in purchasing, business, or hospitality management preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred to effectively communicate with a diverse range of vendors and team members. Ability to understand and utilize basic computer equipment and applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software. Physical Requirements Flexible and long hours sometimes required. Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. #J-18808-Ljbffr
