Saint Louis, MO 63128Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Experience: Customer service experience preferredResponsibilities:Greet and register patients; verify identity and manage check-in/check-outAnswer phones and perform clerical tasks including Epic charting, scanning, faxing, and document handlingSchedule appointments, procedures, and testing; provide timely estimates and Good Faith EstimatesMonitor provider schedules, communicate delays, and coordinate with staff to ensure efficient clinic flowMaintain accurate registration, EHRs, and assigned work queuesHandle patient concerns professionally and escalate as neededManage daily cash drawer, accounts receivable tasks, and payment plansSupport EPIC updates, departmental initiatives, and clinic communicationsMaintain a safe, clean reception area and adhere to safety, privacy, and infection control policiesPerform other duties as assignedSkills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and billing processesClear and professional verbal and written communication skillsBasic computer skills, including accurate data entryStrong customer service skills with a patient-focused approachHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy policiesAdaptable, professional, and able to work well under pressureEffective problem-solving and issue resolution skillsWhy Mercy?From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.Join a caring, collaborative team where your voice matters.
