Location: Indianapolis, IN 46224
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
Schedule: Approximately 38 hours per week
Work Setting: In-person, patient-facing

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary and family healthcare in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care and be comfortable practicing autonomously while collaborating with a dedicated clinical care team.

The provider will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients, managing chronic conditions, providing preventive care, and promoting positive patient outcomes.

Candidates must have at least one year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based primary and family healthcare, including patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment, and management of health conditions.
• Conduct routine examinations, health screenings, and diagnostic testing to identify and treat illnesses and injuries.
• Provide chronic disease management, health counseling, and preventive care.
• Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and encourage active participation in their healthcare.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive treatment plans.
• Manage patient appointments, follow-up care, insurance verification, and payment collection as needed.
• Complete administrative responsibilities, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
• Collaborate with the clinical care team to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree from a Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Indiana.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in family medicine, primary care, or urgent care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.
• Professional license in good standing, with no current or prior disciplinary actions.

Schedule and Training

• Approximately 38 hours per week.
• Shifts vary based on clinic scheduling needs.

Monday–Friday shift options:

• 8:00 AM–7:00 PM
• 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• 8:00 AM–3:30 PM

Saturday shift options:

• 8:00 AM–7:00 PM
• 9:00 AM–5:30 PM

Sunday shift:

• 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Every-other-weekend (EOW) rotation.
• Initial training: 40 hours per week for three weeks.
• Possible holiday rotations.
• On-call rotation may be required.
• On-site, patient-facing work.

Education and Licensing

Candidates must have a master's-level Family Nurse Practitioner education, current national board certification, and an active Indiana license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse.

DEA registration may be required during onboarding, depending on the position's requirements.
