Virginia Family Dentistry is looking for an experienced Dental Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our Huguenot team! 

Pay range is $19-$25/hour based on experience. Typical work hours are 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience working in a dental office and have an understanding of dental billing. The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for balancing and maintaining patient accounts on a daily basis. Duties may include, but are not limited to, posting completed dental procedures, processing payments, analyzing accounts, updating patient information, billing, and financial arrangements. Monitoring and maintaining all past due patient accounts. Responsible for collecting patient balances. 

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain patient account balances daily per practice policy
• Maintain Bookkeeping records per policy
• Answering and documenting patient billing questions and calls
• Identify and collect overdue patient account balances
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with co-workers and patients
• Collaborate with Insurance Coordinator on any patient account issues
• Take patient payments. Present treatment plans to patients and make FA per practice policy
• Update patient billing address as needed
• Month-End close and reporting 

Minimum Qualifications

-2 years or more of dental office experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
