We are a full service flooring company that has successfully been in operation for more than 40 years servicing the Richmond, VA and Washington, DC market area. We have built relationships with our clients by offering quality flooring products at a value with excellent service.


Currently we are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing daily accounting operations. This includes monitoring and evaluating all day-to-day accounting activities.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Accounts payable/receivable
• Monitor and analyze accounting data, reporting for business operations and budgets
• Responsible for monthly commissions, subcontractor pay which is weekly, and monthly and quarterly support for taxes (we have an accountant that we use)
• Communicate with company vendors
• Perform audits and run profit and loss reports, analyzing margins and costs.
• Miscellaneous accounting tasks, such as: petty cash, bank reconciliation, journal entries, business licenses, invoicing and purchase orders, company insurance policies, collections, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in accounting, finance or other related fields
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Excellent computer skills. We use QFloors and Measure Square; and will train.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with management.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• Team player with a sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success
• Good communicator
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Compensation:

• Salary based on experience
• Company pays 50% of employee healthcare with dental and vision options
• Matching 401k
• Business tools (cell, if needed, and a company laptop)
• PTO (4 weeks including 7-9 days company is closed for holidays)
• M-F, 7:30-3:30 in office
