Job description:

At Hilton Garden Inn Evanston, we take pride in serving high-quality, delicious meals that delight our guests. We’re currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our restaurant team and support daily culinary operations with professionalism and consistency.

Position Overview:

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to Hilton brand standards, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. This role is vital in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our hotel guests and restaurant patrons.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Kitchen Operations:

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and brand standards.

Ensure consistent food presentation, taste, and portion control.

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.

Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage.

Assist in receiving, rotating, and storing inventory.

Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely food delivery.

Follow opening and closing kitchen procedures.

Support banquet and special event food preparation as needed.

Qualifications:

2+ years of professional cooking experience preferred.

Food Handler's Certification

Must be 21 years or older.

Creative and professional demeanor.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lift luggage up to 50 lbs.

Must be punctual, dependable, and flexible with working hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
