Payroll Analyst (Contract) Portland, OR (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)

Pay:

$28.50 - $31.25/hour

Duration:

Contract through October 2027 LHH is partnering with a well-established industrial organization to hire a Payroll Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity in Portland, Oregon. This position will play a role in supporting multi-state payroll operations. We're seeking a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can work both independently and collaboratively. What You'll Do

Process biweekly payroll for a large employee population, primarily salaried employees Administer multi-state payroll, garnishments, deductions, and payroll adjustments Support payroll audits and union-related reporting requirements Perform payroll audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries Generate payroll reports using Excel and reporting tools Support payroll tax reconciliation efforts and respond to tax notices Collaborate with HR, Accounting, IT, and other internal stakeholders on payroll Qualifications

3+ years of payroll processing experience Experience processing payroll for 500+ employees Multi-state payroll experience required Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs Experience with UKG or similar payroll systems preferred Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks in a changing environment CPP or FPC certification is a plus Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, HR, or related field preferred What We're Looking For
