Registered Nurse - CVICU

$2205.24/week - Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse in the CVICU is a registered professional nurse responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to cardiac ICU patients. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes through comprehensive nursing practices. Responsibilities: Assess and evaluate patient needs using critical thinking and the nursing process to develop appropriate care plans. Deliver safe, competent care in accordance with institutional standards, research, and best practices. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and caregivers on postoperative care, health promotion, and disease prevention. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to facilitate seamless care transitions. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in compliance with hospital and regulatory policies. Qualifications: Valid NYS RN license with current BLS certification. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a cardiac or ICU setting, including open-heart postoperative care. Proven experience with EPIC electronic medical records system preferred. Strong clinical skills in cardiac and critical care nursing, with the ability to handle high-acuity patients. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; relevant experience or ongoing BSN program considered. Ability to work a 12-hour schedule, including weekends, in a fast-paced environment.
