Hiring Department Life Sciences Center Job Description Dr. Paul de Figueiredo's lab in the Bond Life Sciences Center isseeking a part-time Research Specialist II to contribute toresearch focused on microbiology. Responsibilities Adherence to Protocols and Safety Guidelines: Follow established laboratory protocols and safety guidelinesrigorously. Maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Precise Record Keeping and Data Management: Pay meticulous attention to detail. Maintain accurate records and manage data effectively. Keep detailed and organized laboratory notebooks. Collaboration and Independence: Work both independently and collaboratively with other labmembers. Provide assistance and training to fellow researchers asneeded. Laboratory Techniques: Prepare reagents for experiments. Perform molecular biology techniques, including but not limitedto DNA extraction, PCR, Rt-PCR, and gel electrophoresis. Cultivate and maintain bacterial cultures. Successful candidates will be persuasive communicators with exceptional organizational and time management skills. They must demonstrate the following durable skills: leadership, character, collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, metacognition, mindfulness, growth mindset, and fortitude.
