This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Customer Performance Analytics based in the United States.
This is a strategic analytics leadership opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional focused on improving customer outcomes, operational performance, and value-based care initiatives.
The role combines advanced analytics, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive measurable improvements across healthcare programs.
You will analyze complex data, identify growth opportunities, and translate insights into actionable strategies that improve patient and customer results.

You will work closely with executive stakeholders, analytics teams, clinical experts, and operational leaders in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Accountabilities:
The Director, Customer Performance Analytics will lead customer performance strategy, analytics initiatives, and improvement programs by leveraging data insights to optimize healthcare outcomes and business performance.
- Oversee the financial and operational performance of assigned customer programs, analyzing trends and developing strategies to improve results.
- Establish performance management processes, including regular business reviews, reporting frameworks, and improvement initiatives.
- Identify early indicators of performance risks and opportunities through advanced analysis of customer, operational, and clinical data.
- Develop actionable strategies and interventions in collaboration with account management, finance, clinical operations, medical economics, and product teams.
- Lead customer performance analytics by connecting internal performance metrics with customer financial goals and contractual objectives.
- Translate complex data findings and stakeholder inputs into clear recommendations, initiatives, and execution plans.
- Drive cross-functional alignment and ensure successful implementation of performance improvement strategies.
- Identify new opportunities through analytics, market insights, and collaboration with data science and clinical teams.
- Develop and refine performance goals, targets, and measurement frameworks aligned with service-level agreements and business objectives.
- Lead customer-focused performance reviews, executive reporting, and strategic discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support organization-wide initiatives designed to improve outcomes across customer groups, patient populations, and provider networks.
- Mentor and coach junior analysts, supporting their professional development and analytical capabilities.
- Promote data-driven decision-making by identifying trends, insights, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare analytics leader with strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to transform complex data into measurable performance improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, STEM, or a related field; advanced degrees such as an MBA or quantitative discipline are preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, performance management, or data-driven business strategy.
- 3+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, product operations, research, or related analytical environments.
- Proven experience partnering with executive stakeholders to develop actionable recommendations using data and analytics.
- Strong understanding of customer success, performance optimization, and value-based healthcare models.
- Demonstrated ability to transform ambiguous business challenges into structured plans and measurable initiatives.
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members on analytical projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and results-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities with both technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to balance short-term execution needs with long-term strategic initiatives.
- Proficiency in Python and Databricks is required.
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, AI/ML, data visualization, or other advanced analytics tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of population health management principles is preferred.
