Design Engineer

Allient Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Design Engineer to join our team in Watertown, New York! The Design Engineer provides engineering support for new customer application development, new product launch, cost reductions and manufacturing improvements through collaboration with sales, engineering, quality and manufacturing personnel, suppliers, and customers. Apply Now!Responsibilities:- Manages and coordinates the design and release to production of products, which meet customer needs and reflect current/future strategic manufacturing processes. - Analyzes and interprets engineering data when new products and components, modifications, and changes affect standard products. - Confer with manufacturing engineering to provide assistance in methodizing product operations, tooling requirements, feasibility of manufacture or subcontracting, labor and material cost estimates. - Develops and presents technical information, which aids in strategic planning initiatives. - Recommends resources required to enhance product performance and/or resolve design/manufacturing issues. - Plans and develops experimental test programs.
