Special Education Teacher

Special Education Teacher (Maternity Leave Coverage) | Hingham, MA

Amergis Staffing is partnered with a school district in Hingham, MA seeking a Special Education Teacher for a maternity leave coverage assignment through December 23rd .

This role supports 4th and 5th grade students and includes a combination of push-in and pull-out special education services . Responsibilities include implementing IEPs, collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff, providing individualized instruction, and maintaining required special education documentation.

Assignment Details:

• Position: Special Education Teacher

• Location: Hingham, MA

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:20 AM - 2:30 PM

• Start Date: ASAP

• Assignment Length: Through December 23rd

• Grade Levels: 4th & 5th Grade

• Service Model: Partial push-in and partial pull-out support

• Documentation System: IEP System

• Pay Rate: Up to $55/hour , depending on experience

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred

• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred

• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
