What You'll Do

• Provide inpatient dialysis care to diverse patient populations, including Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis patients (PD experience not required)
• Access fistulas and dialysis catheters, ensuring proper functionality and patient safety
• Work independently and efficiently on assigned units, supporting patient needs
• Assist in charting and documentation using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Rotate between multiple facilities as scheduled, ensuring coverage at WKMC (main facility) and other nearby units
• Participate in call shifts (12-hour) in coordination with team members, including weekends and holidays on a limited basis
• Follow all unit policies, including maintaining a professional appearance with specified scrub colors and badges

What You Need
Required:

• Active RN license in Louisiana
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year inpatient dialysis experience (2 years for first-time travelers in acute care)
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Critical thinking skills, ability to work independently, and travel between facilities

Preferred:

• Certification as CDN or CNN
• Experience working with BBraun dialysis machines
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
