Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 18-bed ICU with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2; may adjust to 1:1 for CRRT or organ donation cases, or 1:3 during overflow/stepdown situations
• Titrate all critical care drips within ordered parameters, including vasoactive medications, sedation, and paralytics
• Monitor and interpret telemetry using the Philips system; responsible for monitoring, interpretation, and patient admission to the system
• Perform care and removal of central lines and other advanced critical care interventions
• Manage a diverse patient population including sepsis, pneumonia, CHF, COPD, DKA, overdose, renal failure, neurosurgical, general surgical, vascular, and cardiac patients
• Float to Stepdown and MedSurg units as needed based on census and staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (all required, must be unexpired)
• Competency with CRRT, IABP, mechanical ventilators, post-code care, and therapeutic hypothermia
• Proficiency with vasoactive medications, sedation, and paralytic agents
• Must complete EPIC education and general competencies prior to starting on the unit

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with self-scheduling and block scheduling in a high-acuity environment
• Familiarity with Philips telemetry monitoring systems
