Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Transplant Hepatologist, Program Director of Transplant Hepatology Fellowship.

Opportunity Information:

\n

The position will render care to Hepatology patients at the Rush main campus and regional sites for the Rush Solid Organ Transplant program. which is comprised of eleven Advanced Practice Providers and thirteen clinical faculty.

\n

 

\n

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership across all phases of transplant hepatology, including pre-transplant, peri-transplant, and post-transplant care, with a focus on delivering efficient, evidence-based, and guideline-driven care.

\n

This role includes ensuring full compliance with Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) regulations related to patient evaluation, ongoing care, data collection and submission, and clinical outcomes.

\n

Additionally, the physician will lead and oversee quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing care processes and outcomes throughout the transplant continuum.

\n

This role will include 70% clinical effort, 20% for administration time as Program Director, Transplant Hepatology Fellowship, and 10% for pre-transplant administration

\n

The mission of the Transplant Service Line at Rush University Medical Center is to provide superior patient care and maintain superb clinical outcomes. We work collaboratively across multiple disciplines to ensure the patients will receive true multidisciplinary care in the entire continuum of the pre-transplant, perioperative and post-transplant care. The Transplant Service Line has locations across Chicagoland and northwest Indiana.

Rush was one of the first 10 liver transplant centers in the United States, starting in the 1980s. Nearly 2,000 patients have received a liver transplant during the programs 35-year history. Today, the program consists of a large multidisciplinary team which works closely together to maintain exceptional patient care and excellent quality outcomes.

Qualifications:

\n

Fellowship Trained in Transplant Hepatology

\n

BC/BE in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology.

\n

5-10 years of experience is required

\n

We are seeking candidates with a current faculty appointment at the rank of  Associate Professor or Professor (or equivalent) at an accredited medical institution. Exceptional Assistant Professors with a strong record of scholarship, leadership, and national recognition will also be considered.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $403,740 - $500,000
