PLUMBING ESTIMATOR – CENTRAL NJ
Growing mechanical/plumbing contractor is seeking an experienced Plumbing Estimator to join its team. This is a great opportunity for someone who can take commercial plumbing projects from bid documents through final proposal.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates, material takeoffs, and bid proposals
- Review blueprints, specifications, and scope of work
- Obtain pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and project costs
- Handle RFIs, addenda, and estimate revisions
- Support design-build and commercial construction projects
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of commercial plumbing estimating experience
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and NJ codes
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with estimating/takeoff software such as Bluebeam, QuickPen, or similar
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and tight deadlines
