MRI Technologist II

Role Overview The MRI Technologist II performs routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality, safe patient care within a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Operate MRI equipment, select appropriate technical factors, and administer contrast agents while supporting invasive procedures under MRI guidance. Maintain safety protocols, screen patients, position them correctly, and support patient comfort and understanding. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, departmental training, and quality assurance activities, including equipment QC and phantom testing. Manage departmental supplies, document procedures, and troubleshoot equipment issues, escalating as needed. Transport and prepare patients, verify orders, and process images for interpretation. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Provide patient education, support, and effective communication, fostering a respectful environment. Qualifications & Skills Associate’s degree or recognized MRI technologist certification. 3-4 years of MRI experience with proficiency in all protocols. ARMRIT or ARRT (MRI) certification required; BLS certification required upon hire. Strong knowledge of MRI principles, anatomy, and patient care; ability to work effectively under stress.
