Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Physical Therapist looking to make a difference during the summer session. From late May to the end of June, you’ll support students in reaching their mobility and physical development goals within a collaborative, school-based environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Previous experience in school settings is highly valued
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, parents, and staff
• Proficiency in performing assessments, developing treatment plans, and documenting progress
• Flexibility and professionalism in a dynamic school setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations for students to determine physical therapy needs
• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans tailored for each student
• Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families to optimize student progress
• Provide direct physical therapy interventions, adapt environments, and recommend assistive devices when appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, sessions, and outcomes
• Participate in meetings as needed and serve as a resource to staff regarding best practices in school-based physical therapy
