About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director, Head of Clinical Data Management to take on a pivotal role in the organization. The successful candidate will be the senior-most leader in Clinical Data Management, responsible for owning the CDM strategy, leading and developing the team, and partnering with executive leadership to advance late-stage programs. Key responsibilities include setting the overall data strategy, overseeing all data management activities from study startup to database lock, and shaping the operating model across various delivery approaches. The role also involves driving CRO oversight, vendor management, and inspection readiness, as well as building scalable processes, standards, and best practices across the department. Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' of Clinical Data Management leadership experience in the biotech or pharma industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading teams, building high-performing organizations, and supporting regulatory submissions and approvals. A deep understanding of both outsourced and in-house operating models, experience with EDC and modern clinical data technologies, and strong cross-functional leadership with executive presence are essential. The role requires a strategic thinker who can also execute effectively and is passionate about driving the growth and success of the clinical data management function.
