PURPOSE OF POSITION The Welder is responsible to build / repair and maintenance of production molds. Assisting production department in assembly of molds is frequent and assisting Maintenance department in basic welding tasks. This position is concerned a Safety Sensitive Position. Task and Responsibilities: Process and organize products according to the blueprints and drawings. Fabricating or Repair and Maintenance. Assisting Line Workers or assembling Forms. Pre-shift and end of shift equipment inspections. Maintain a clean and tidy environment. Participation in Safety Program. Adhere to Nortrak’s Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies. Model and lead our Nortrak Blue culture and values: (Respect, Responsibility, Curiosity, Courage, Passion, and Diversity). Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and pushing, pulling, or lifting objects for the duration of your required schedule shift. Use hands and arms to operate tools, handle materials, and reach for the duration of your required scheduled shift. Regularly lift and carry 30–35 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Hearing abilities necessary to perform job tasks safely and effectively. Job Requirements (e.g. education, experience, skills and desired competencies) High School graduate or GED preferred. Minimum one year of welding experience required. Certified welder multiple positions, blueprint reading, operation of all fabrication equipment and techniques preferred. Ability to read work orders and blueprints preferred. Must be able to work as a team member collaborating with colleagues.
