Business Systems Analyst With JIRA

Client – State of VA

Location – Onsite Richmond, VA (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)

Pay rate - $$$/hr on C2C (Absolute max no possibilities of increase)

Duration – 12+ months

Skills - Candidates Experience

Experience as a business system analysis or comparable– Required 8 years

Full SDLC experience including supporting QA and UAT needs– Required 8 years

Experience with Business Systems Analysis software applications tools, and techniques– Required 8 years

Experience as a BSA on agile, waterfall and hybrid agile-waterfall methodologies– Required 8 years

Writes specific, measurable, and testable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria– Required 8 years

Develops clear and effective business and system documentation (process flows, data mapping, RFPs, SOWs, business requirements, etc) –Required 8 years

Effectively facilitate meetings and requirements gathering sessions (JAD sessions, interviews, surveys, shadowing, etc.)– Required 8 years

Excellent problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities –Required 8 years

Basic SQL Skills (Select only, ability to write complex joins) –Required 8 years

Experience gathering integration requirements for data: identifying and assessing data sources, creating source/target mappings, interface req.– Required 5 years

Problem-solving and triage support for urgent production break fix resolution– Required 2 years

Experience developing or writing business cases and supporting or executing market research– Required 2 years

Experience facilitating system design and technical requirements sessions– Required 2 years

Experience facilitating meetings with complex stakeholder dynamics– Required 2 years

Experience with and proven knowledge of Web Application concepts– Required 5 years

Experience with and proven knowledge of Client / Server Application concepts- Desired 2 years

Ability to read and interpret vendor API documentation- Desired 2 years

Previous experiencing using Atlassian JIRA- Desired 2 years

Experience working and partnering with Vendor Support- Desired 2 years

BSA Skills

- Perform & appropriately scale BSA-related tasks & activities for work efforts of various sizes (from small maintenance items and defects to large projects)

- Ensure SDLC processes are being followed

- Product thorough User Stories with sufficient Acceptance Criteria Development and Specification necessary to support the product owner, SME, development and quality assurance stakeholders

- Acquire full understanding of business vision for project, enhancements, and defect remediation

- Make recommendations to business on best practices

- Provide business analysis support for project requests making sure to examine build vs. buy options that may be available and align with business strategic goals including cost / benefit analysis for new efforts.

- Effectively use various elicitation techniques (JAD sessions, interviews, surveys, shadowing, etc.) to ensure that the true business need and intent is understood and well documented.
