Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A fulfilling opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist interested in supporting K-8 students on a contract basis near Scottsdale, AZ. This position focuses on a small caseload and offers a flexible one-day-per-week schedule—Fridays only. The assignment begins with an in-service day on July 20, with students returning on July 30, and extends through May 21, 2027.

You’ll provide direct therapy to a group of 10 students, each seen weekly for 30 minutes, with possibilities for group or paired sessions. This role is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist who enjoys personalized, quality service and collaborating within a school-based team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC required)
• Experience in school-based settings and pediatric populations
• Proven ability to write IEPs and develop measurable progress goals
• Competence in facilitating both SLI-specific and general IEP meetings
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfort with evaluating and recommending students for speech services

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech therapy to assigned students each Friday (approximately 8am–12pm for direct service, plus additional time for meetings, documentation, and consultation)
• Evaluate students and determine eligibility for speech services
• Write IEPs, monitor progress, and update goals as needed
• Participate actively in regular and SLI-specific IEP meetings
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary staff to support student development
• Maintain thorough notes and documentation in compliance with school and legal standards
