Bankruptcy Litigation Associate Attorney

Position Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with a small team of experienced partners handling complex bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters. The firm is seeking an attorney who can operate independently, manage cases proactively, and contribute immediately to ongoing matters.

While bankruptcy experience is a plus, candidates with strong commercial litigation experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of commercial litigation and bankruptcy-related disputes.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Manage discovery, depositions, and case strategy development.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Collaborate directly with partners on high-stakes matters.
• Independently manage assigned caseloads and deadlines.

Qualifications

Required

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with any U.S. State Bar.
• 2–3 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and research skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent academic credentials (top-third of class preferred).
• Law school transcripts required.
• Writing sample required.

Preferred

• Bankruptcy litigation experience.
• Federal court litigation experience.
• Experience representing business clients in complex disputes.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $200,000 – $350,000+
• Exceptional bonus program tied to billable hours.
• Bonus eligibility begins at 1,900 billable hours.
• Additional bonus increases available as billable milestones are achieved.
• Up to 50 hours of approved pro bono work credited toward billable requirements.
