Position Title: Outside Sales Representative

Own a four-state territory, build a book of business, and create your own earning potential. We are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to drive new business across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming for a growing supplier serving the landscaping and building materials market. This is a true hunter role focused on prospecting, developing relationships with distributors, contractors, landscape supply stores, and retailers, and turning new opportunities into long-term accounts.

The ideal candidate is driven, personable, and highly self-motivated with the discipline to manage an expansive territory independently. You should enjoy getting in front of customers, opening doors, and building a pipeline from the ground up.

Salary: $60,000 / Year, DOE

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming
• Manage and grow a small portfolio of existing accounts while making new customer acquisition the primary focus
• Build relationships with distributors, contractors, landscape supply stores, retailers, and other prospective customers
• Plan and manage daily travel throughout the territory, including in-person customer visits and product presentations
• Follow up on marketing-generated leads while consistently creating new opportunities through cold outreach
• Maintain strong customer relationships from initial outreach through order placement and ongoing account development
• Collaborate with the customer service, marketing, and sales teams to support customers and drive territory growth

Requirements

• 35 years of territory or outside sales experience preferred, with consideration given to highly motivated early-career candidates
• Proven hunter mentality with the drive to prospect, build a pipeline, and consistently pursue new business
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to independently manage a multi-state territory, travel regularly, and create an effective sales schedule
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving sales environment and remaining responsive to customers
• Associate degree preferred
• Experience in turf, landscaping, building materials, construction supplies, or a related industry is a plus
