FirstCall Mechanical – Commercial HVAC Service Technician Location: Nashville, TN Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician with a can‑do attitude, strong problem‑solving skills and an active EPA Certification to join our fast‑growing team. Job Responsibilities Diagnose causes of problems in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and food service equipment to determine repair or replacement needs. Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations of new units, and replace parts of existing units for systems exceeding 15 tons. Maintain larger preventive maintenance contracts with more than five units. Repair or replace defective parts and controls in units and equipment. Service and troubleshoot mini‑splits and/or replace smaller RTU’s and mini‑splits for 15 tons or less. Communicate with Dispatch to ensure scheduled jobs are completed. Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for customers. Deliver elite customer service to every customer encountered. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Active EPA Certification. 5+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting. OSHA 10 Certification. Manufacturer Certification preferred. Availability to work flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving capabilities. Technical Skills Reading and comprehending simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Writing clear correspondence. Communicating with customers and account managers about job status. Performing basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and interpreting graphs. Applying common sense to execute written or oral instructions and solving standardized problems. Physical Demands Regular use of hands, standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, and stooping. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Requires close, distance, peripheral and depth vision and ability to adjust focus. Benefits Overview Competitive weekly pay.
