Server - Beer and Wine

Role Summary As a Server – Beer and Wine you will be responsible for guiding guests to order food and beverages, greeting them, making specific menu suggestions, maintaining full menu knowledge, and delivering quick and timely counter service. The role serves as a vital link between guests and kitchen staff and may include cross‑training as a Restaurant Worker, Concessionist, Box Office Cashier, or Usher as staffing needs require. Responsibilities Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner. Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast‑paced environment. Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests. Handle all transactions on the assigned register, maintaining proper cash balance and logging sales accurately. Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions. Ensure that alcohol is consumed only in designated areas. Use suggestive selling techniques consistently. Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate. Wipe down and sanitize high‑contact areas for employees and guests. Utilize Personal Protective Equipment while completing position specific tasks. Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks. Monitor safety and security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and report to management. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements Proof of age (18 for serving, pouring, or mixing alcoholic beverages, 21 in some states). Completion of basic food handling training and any required local or state certification, health card, or food handlers permit. Completion of a Safe Alcohol Service training program. Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Regular and consistent attendance. Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift. Excellent guest service skills. Accurate cash handling and basic math skills. Interpersonal skills: effective verbal and written communication with all ages, genders, and personalities. Ability to converse in and comprehend English. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to take and follow direction. Response to tasks with a sense of urgency. Physical and Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theater. Noise level may be moderate to high at times. Ability to remain standing for extended periods.
