Therapist - Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating and implementing rehabilitative interventions for patients in the Acute Rehab department, with availability to float to acute inpatient settings based on census needs. They focus on restoring daily living, vocational, and homemaking skills to promote patient independence.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  
  
• 
  Implement and monitor occupational therapy interventions to facilitate patient recovery and functional improvement.
  
  
• 
  Document evaluations, treatment progress, and modifications accurately following regulatory standards.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
  
  
• 
  Supervise occupational therapy assistants and aides, providing clinical guidance and mentorship.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with safety protocols, sanitation standards, and organizational policies.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold valid California State License as an Occupational Therapist.
  
  
• 
  Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC.
  
  
• 
  Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program or equivalent experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
  
  
• 
  Proven ability to assess, plan, and execute therapy interventions in a healthcare setting.
  
  
• 
  Strong communication and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
