Golf Shop Merchandiser

Golf Shop Merchandiser Reports to Head Golf Professional. Manages the shop inventory, special orders, representative and account relations, and pre‐booking activities. Experience Required Experience at a private club steeped in the traditions of the game is preferred, but not required. Present a professional image that resonates throughout the team. Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft products, Foretees, EZ Links/Jonas, Golf Genius, and other golf‑related software. Organized and proficient in retail management with a full understanding of checks and balances to help promote a well‑run Golf Shop. Essential Responsibilities Manage Golf Shop operations. Assist Golf Staff with all opening and closing procedures. Establish merchandising plans, implement action steps, and adjust plans based on progress toward goals. Work closely with the accounting office on accounts receivable and accounts payable issues. Oversee facility tournament operations, including weekly events. Conduct inventory counts on a monthly and weekly basis. Assist Head Golf Professional with buying, rep relations and attending trade shows when necessary. Maintain strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills. Handle written and oral business communications, and contribute to budgeting. Be fully responsible for inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders—including ordering procedures, receiving procedures, inputting into point of sale, pricing procedures, display, and sales. Participate in planning and budgeting for the Golf Shop. Conduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional image.
