• Hematology-focused practice with over 90% hematology and minimal solid tumor cases.

• Comprehensive practice including outpatient clinic, infusion center, and inpatient consult service.

• Strong multidisciplinary support with multiple physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.

Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric

Setting: Outpatient Clinic, Infusion Center, and Inpatient Consult Service

Facility Type: Hospital

Facility Setting: Urban

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage benign and malignant hematology patients.

• Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic care.

• Participate in a shared after-hours call rotation.

• Order laboratory studies and diagnostic imaging.

• Prescribe and manage treatment plans.

• Participate in multidisciplinary Tumor Board meetings.

Required Procedures:

• Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA)

• Biopsy

EMR System: Epic

Support Staff:

• 6 Hematology/Oncology Physicians

• 5 Inpatient Advanced Practice Providers

• 6 Outpatient Advanced Practice Providers

• Radiation Oncologists

• Infusion Center Staff

Days Per Month: Full-time, Monday Friday.

On-Call/Weekends:

• Shared after-hours call (5:00 PM 7:00 AM).

• Approximately 1:5 call rotation.

• Advanced Practice Provider support available during call.

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology.

• Active Michigan Medical License strongly preferred (providers willing to obtain licensure will be considered).

• BLS Certification required.
