Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual. Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries. Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Maryland regulations and clinic protocols Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience Qualifications Active and unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one Current BLS and ACLS certifications Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills Preferred Experience Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment Hourly Rate or Salary Range: Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
