Admissions Coordinator

Job Summary

The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the admission process and managing transfers, discharges, and fall reporting. This role requires a thorough understanding of the admissions workflow and related procedures to ensure an efficient and effective process for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the admission process for residents and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
• Manage and track transfers and discharges of residents.
• Implement fall reporting procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure compliance with care standards.
• Provide guidance and support to team members regarding the admission and discharge processes.
• Maintain effective communication with residents and their families throughout the admission process.

Staffing Information

The staffing ratios for caregivers are as follows:

• Night Shift: 1 caregiver for up to 35 residents, with medication administration at the beginning of the shift and up to 2 CNAs for support.
• Day Shift: 1 caregiver for up to 35 residents, with a medication aide present. The nurse will be responsible for all treatments and will have up to 3 CNAs and potentially 1 Bath Aide available on weekdays.

Qualifications

• Experience in admissions processes or a related field is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Understanding of healthcare regulations and best practices related to admissions and discharges.

Additional Information

Local rates apply within 80 miles. A fee will be assessed for cancellations without a two-week notice. There are no on-call or callback requirements associated with this position.
