Middle School Math Teacher

RMS Math Teacher Starting Date: Aug 20, 2026 Job Summary Rutland City Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Math Teacher to inspire students to develop critical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and a lifelong appreciation for mathematics. The successful candidate will deliver a rigorous and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of a diverse student body while supporting students’ social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Responsibilities Teach middle school math courses with a focus on conceptual understanding, reasoning, and real‑world application. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and academic confidence. Support students’ development as responsible, accomplished individuals and community members. Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve instruction and student outcomes. Qualifications Holds (or can obtain) a Vermont 7–12 teaching license (Master’s preferred). At least 3 years of relevant experience (preferred). Bachelor’s degree (preferred). Citizenship, residency, or work visa required. Collaborative spirit, creativity, and enthusiasm for the school’s unique culture. Benefits and Compensation Rutland Middle School offers competitive pay, a generous benefits package, and participation in the Rutland City Pension Plan in addition to the VT State Pension program.
