About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS Required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Experience in MS/Tele Description: The position requires a registered nurse to work in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting. The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients with various medical conditions, including orthopedic issues, chest pain, pneumonia, cellulitis, and transient ischemic attacks (TIA). General surgical patients will also be included in the patient population. Neuro patients will be transferred to other units as needed. There may be occasional pediatric patients, but travelers will not be assigned to them. The nurse will work night shifts, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 6-7:1. The daily average census is approximately 30 patients, and the unit has a total of 61 beds. The position requires reliable floating within the designated service line. Weekends will be required every other week. Traveler candidates must have previous experience in charge roles and patient ratio experience. Experience with a specific charting system is also preferred. All candidates must comply with the vaccination requirements as specified in facility policies.
