Title : Registered Nurse (RN) – Med | Surg Initial Duration : 3 months (High possibilities of Extension) Location: Pompton Plains, NJ – 07444 (Other locations available) Shift: 8:15am - 4:15pm (Monday-Friday) Pay Range: Local Pay: $52-$55/hr on w2 Note: You can refer your friends or colleagues for this role or any other RN role, we do offer a referral bonus of $750. Stipend is also provided to the candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility Other locations available in NJ. Local/Travel Contracts available in multiple departments in all states. Job Summary: Has competent knowledge of all the normal stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric and delivers patient care appropriately. Performs thorough assessments that are systematic, comprehensive and accurate. Consistently demonstrates competent clinical skills. Performs direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery and team concept. Provides competent and appropriate nursing care to the population of the unit. Discharge plan is initiated at the time of admission and implemented throughout the hospital length of stay. Participates in interdisciplinary patient care meetings. Develops, initiates, and participates in the process of patient education, discharge instructions, and preparation of patient/family/significant other for discharge. Patient Education and Chart Completion. Assesses patient's understanding of surgical procedure/instructions, actively including the patient and family members in teaching. Performs pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education.
