Special Chemistry Technologist - Halsey

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Special Chemistry Technologist for its Portland laboratory to perform electrophoresis and related testing, manage specimen quality, operate instrumentation, and ensure accurate test results in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform electrophoresis testing procedures
Operate, monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
Execute preventive maintenance and quality control documentation
Prepare and evaluate new reagents and controls
Report timely and accurate test results to support patient care

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Life Science or Medical Technology
ASCP or AMT certification
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
One or more years clinical laboratory experience in Special Chemistry (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and multitasking capability
Proficiency working independently and collaboratively
