The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a clinical psychologist to join the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with academic record and experience. Position Overview At OSUWMC, we are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. We are interested in candidates that complement our current strengths and support our clinical mission. We seek to hire faculty to help build our psychosis program. The successful candidate will work within our interdisciplinary EPICENTER team caring for patients with and at‑risk for psychotic, bipolar, and related disorders in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health. The psychologist directs or provides care in a manner consistent with the privileges granted by the governing body of University Hospitals and as approved by the University Board of Trustees. Department/Division Overview The successful candidate will join a 65‑plus member Section of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health. Our Section offers robust training opportunities, including externship experiences, psychology pre‑doctoral internship, and several fellowship programs. We offer a collaborative environment and an engaged Psychology faculty. Duties and Responsibilities Provide patient care, education, and conduct clinical research as part of a multidisciplinary team treating psychotic, bipolar and related disorders. Conduct clinical evaluations and assessments, individual cognitive behavioral therapy, metacognitive remediation therapy, family education and support, and community education. Maintain thorough knowledge of DSM‑5 and ICD‑10 mental health diagnoses. Participate in training, research, and other scholarly pursuits. Represent the program or Department on committees, conferences, professional meetings, and community speaking engagements. Practice within the established Medical Center standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols) and adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center. Requirements Doctoral Degree in Psychology. Licensed or license‑eligible in the state of Ohio. Applicants must be from an APA‑ or CPA‑accredited clinical or counseling psychology doctoral program (with an accredited clinical internship), have at least one year of relevant post‑doctoral experience, and be licensed in Ohio by the time of appointment. Competency in technical clinical skills and the cognitive and interpersonal skills required to serve patients receiving the above services. Previous training or experience working with patients with psychotic and/or bipolar disorders is preferred. Faculty Defined Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) – assistant professor‑clinical, associate professor‑clinical, and professor‑clinical. Tenure‑Track faculty (regardless of rank) – assistant professor, associate professor, or professor eligible for tenure. Research faculty (regardless of rank) – research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
