Health Technician (Lab)

Department: Department of Health and Human Services The purpose of this position is to provide direct patient care and clerical technical, and administrative support in the Send/Out/Phlebotomy and waived testing area. This position is located at the Chinle Service unit, Division of Clinical Services, Laboratory Department in Chinle, Arizona. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021). Identify patients and properly label, handle, and process specimens. Prepare and send laboratory specimens to outside/reference laboratories. Perform waived laboratory testing according to established procedures. Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and inventory. Order, receive, organize, and restock unit supplies. Follow laboratory safety, infection‑control, and quality‑assurance procedures.
