Employment Type: Part-time (approx. one day per month, ~12 hours/month)

Job Summary
I-2-I Solutions, a federal contractor specializing in Legionella and water quality testing, is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Water Sampling Field Technician to collect monthly water samples at the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility in Chinle, AZ. This is a recurring monthly assignment supporting a federal Legionella water management program. The ideal candidate lives locally, is highly dependable, and takes documentation seriously.

Responsibilities

• Collect approximately 25 water samples per month from designated points across the hospital and outlying buildings (faucets and sinks; hot and cold lines)
• Coordinate the sampling schedule and facility access with the hospital's designated representative before each event
• Complete Chain of Custody (COC) documentation fully and legibly for every sampling event, with no missing fields
• Package and ship samples to the laboratory, using proper handling and temperature protection
• Photograph the completed COC and submit it to the Project Coordinator after each event
• Follow all facility safety, infection-control, and access protocols
• Communicate promptly with the Project Coordinator regarding scheduling, sampling supplies, and any access issues

Required Qualifications

• Resides in or near Chinle, AZ (Navajo Nation), within daily commuting distance of the facility
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (sampling includes outlying buildings)
• REAL ID-compliant identification or another federally accepted credential
• Able to meet facility access requirements for a healthcare setting
• Available during facility business hours (sampling requires a hospital escort)
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
• Ability to follow written sampling protocols precisely
• Physically able to reach sampling points, access crawlspaces/mechanical areas, and lift/carry sample kits (up to ~25 lbs)
• Dependable phone and email communication

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in water sampling, environmental field work, facilities, or laboratory sample collection
• Familiarity with Legionella or water quality sampling
• Located near a shipping point (UPS/FedEx/USPS) that supports next-day delivery

Schedule
Approximately one day per month (~12 hours), typically mid-month, scheduled in advance with the facility. Occasional additional sampling may be requested.
