Job Description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector for a metal manufacturing company in Mundelein, IL . A successful Quality Inspector assures the consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing manufacturing practices and systems, validating processes, and providing necessary documentation to ensure quality excellence.

SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($19-$26/HR depending on experience and shift) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).


Available shifts include: 1st shift: 6am-2:30pm 2nd shift: 2:30pm-11pm
Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.


Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector:

• Monitor production to ensure all documentation is complete.
• Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality standards are met
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve product or production related issues.
• Assist with developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and know definitions of critical, major, minor characteristics.
• Able to measure parts and determine if they are meeting print specifications.
• Inspect first part against each measurement as indicated on print. Verify acceptable tolerance. Indicate completed inspection on corresponding inspection record.

Required Qualifications of the Quality Inspector:

• 2+ years of experience performing close/tight tolerance mechanical inspection preferred
• Experience with handheld gauges, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, thread gages, etc
• Able to read blue prints.
• Metal stamping/fabrication experience preferred.
