Contract | 13 Weeks | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-surgical care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced 40-bed inpatient unit
• Manage a patient assignment of 4–5 patients on day/evening shifts and up to 5–7 patients on night shifts
• Handle an average of 10–15 admissions per day, prioritizing care based on patient acuity
• Administer and document medications using electronic scanning equipment and infusion pumps
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care across the surgical care continuum

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or ARC
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Rovers for medication scanning and Alaris infusion pumps
• Experience in a post-surgical care or PACU step-down environment
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-occupancy, high-acuity setting
