This role helps residents maintain and improve their independence with mobility, self-care, positioning, and other daily activities. The technician provides individualized or small-group support, documents services, and reports changes in resident function to nursing and therapy staff.Key Responsibilities* Provide restorative therapy programs under the direction of licensed therapists.* Assist residents with mobility, ambulation, activities of daily living, feeding, positioning, range of motion, contracture management, and other restorative programs.* Support residents in maintaining their highest level of independence and function.* Monitor functional maintenance programs completed by CNA staff and communicate concerns to therapy or nursing staff.* Recognize and promptly report changes or declines in resident function.* Accurately document resident encounters and services provided.* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.* Promote resident safety, quality care, and a positive experience.Minimum Requirements* High school diploma or equivalent.* One year of medical-related experience in a long-term care or hospital setting as a rehabilitation technician, certified nursing assistant, or similar role.* Good verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.* Reliable, responsible, and able to use sound judgment and initiative.* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.* Strong organizational and documentation skills.Preferred Qualifications* Certified Restorative Nurse Assistant (CRNA) or equivalent certification.* Knowledge of basic restorative nursing principles and practices.* Understanding of restorative care philosophy.* Relevant college coursework in patient care.Join Our TeamIf you enjoy helping others maintain their independence and quality of life, we encourage you to apply and join our team!
