Server Assistants provide service that is knowledgeable, approachable, and energetic while upholding company standards and values.ResponsibilitiesSupport service team with ongoing table and floor maintenance, including, but not limited to water service, clearing and cleaning tables and resetting tables with proper tablewareProvide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, and energetic service at all timesMaintain full menu knowledge for both food and beverage items, including all allergen informationRun food from the kitchen to tablesPrepare accoutrements for a variety of dishesPerform some tableside preparationsAdhere to all company service standards and protocolsAssist in the cleaning and polishing of all tablewareReceive instruction from multiple sources and prioritize tasks effectivelyEnsure proper table maintenance, including water service and pre-bussingStock and prepare service-related itemsPolish all tablewareMaintain professional and warm guest communicationsRecognize key people in the industry, VIP guests and contacts related to the company and follow company protocol related to their visitCommunicate respectfully and clearly with service team and managementSupport team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after serviceEngage management for any escalated guest situationsAdhere to Momofuku's Cleaning and sanitation SOPsAdditional service and/or operational tasks as determined by managerAdhere to grooming and dress code standardsAssist teammates to anticipate all other Front of House needsRequired QualificationsMinimum 1+ year experience in a fast paced, high-volume restaurantA positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as a desire to learn, grow, and develop new skillsExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm under pressure and resolve guest conflictWilling to accept guidance in a positive manner and implement the direction in a way that is productive for both you and the teamAble to work in a standing/walking position for long periods of timeAbility to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environmentPreferred Qualifications2+ years of experience as a Server Assistant, Busser, Runner, Back Server, or related role in a restaurant with a comparable service style and/or cuisineAbility to train new Bussers in all aspects and responsibilities of the roleA proven track record of dependability and a continuous focus on learning and developmentPhysical DemandsThe physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
