Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Unit

Location Nashville, TN

This is a 13-week contract position.

07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, Every other Weekend (Saturday, Sunday); weekdays flexible.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment skills and experience with IV pumps and medication dispensing cabinets. Familiarity with the Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, and Virtual Sitter equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
Perform assessments, administer medications, and implement care plans for patients.
Utilize equipment such as IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing.
Participate in hourly rounding to enhance patient experience.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
Floating between medical-surgical units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Must hold an active RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH) certifications preferred.
Experience with IV and Foley catheter placement.

Dress Code Required uniform: Black or Royal Blue scrubs.
