Position Overview

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive cardiopulmonary care to support the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of respiratory conditions. This role plays a vital part in improving patient outcomes by delivering effective respiratory therapies while adhering to strict safety, infection control, and clinical care standards.

Working closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams, the Respiratory Therapist administers treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilator support. They are responsible for assessing patients’ respiratory status, managing life-support equipment, and making real-time adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal patient response and safety.

In addition, the Respiratory Therapist provides clear instructions and compassionate care to patients, helping to ease concerns and ensure comfort throughout treatment. The role also includes performing diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gases (ABGs), monitoring patient progress, maintaining accurate and timely documentation, and following all clinical protocols and regulatory guidelines. Through strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care, the Respiratory Therapist supports positive outcomes and enhances the overall patient experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
